The western part of Nova Scotia has a fascinating Acadian history and presence.
I visited Costa Rica in January 2016 and immediately was enthralled by the beauty of the coastlines, the mountains and volcanos, the rain and cloud forests. Add to that the amazing flora and fauna and the friendly, industrious people and I know I have found a place to revisit. It was mating season especially evident amongst the birds. To be witness to the shared preening was a joy. I love the juxtaposition of rather clumsy scarlet macaws with what appeared to be a disgruntled female and then my camera capturing the much more sedate coupling of the chestnut mandibled toucans.
