About Sue

I was born and raised in the Isle of Man, a place I return to for spiritual centering. It was there that I first witnessed the power of nature and discovered the uniqueness of each occupant of this planet. Being “different” because of physical deformity, I carved a life based on my own chosen values, attitudes and beliefs. Now in my seventh decade I feel the journey so far has been very rewarding..
I became an Occupational Therapist in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1969. Free-lance lecturing and travelling were passions that led to a 12-city lecture tour in Australia and New Zealand in 1982. Through the years topics have included coping with Alzheimer’s Disease, handling grief, dealing with swallowing problems, managing difficult behaviour in long term care facilities, and more recently, exploring the spiritual side of living with disability and being a caregiver.

Photography was another passion. I was not confident about taking up videography. But when my partner’s independent functioning decreased because of Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, we chose to make educational videos as a way of giving purpose to life. This journey together lasted from 1990-1999 and is documented in the four “Aspects” movies.

Through this website I hope I can link all aspects of my life’s journey and share the wisdom the universe has gifted me. I believe we are all travelers and when we meet it is for a reason, maybe to both give and receive. In this website I hope we can meet, share and rest a while.
